Digital Media use in class

Before I record, I do nothing, I sit and have a think, think about plan, what I should do for this topic and what should I do for recording. During the recording, I used my own tape recorder and then used music at the beginning and end. Before recording my speech, I wrote an article and then read it from the script. Because only the voice is needed, I don’t need to look at the camera, which makes it much easier for me to record. I don’t need to look at the camera, and I don’t need to recite the script. I read the script over and over before recording to make sure there were no mistakes or mis readings. And I practiced my speech repeatedly. The first few times I recorded a noise, so I had to start over. Then there is a complete, but when they listen to find no voice intonation, flat light tone. Thus, after several attempts, the best and most phonetic intonation recording was selected. I listened to a lot of other people’s songs or speeches on SoundCloud before recording. I hope I can learn some advantages from their recording. In the selection of songs, I listened to a lot of songs, from cheerful to sleep, and finally I chose a cheerful and relaxed music as the beginning and end of music. In the speech, I first talked about what digital media can bring to students and expressed my opinions. And then he gives examples, by giving examples, of the good and the bad.

In the end, it summarizes whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, or the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. Before I started this topic, I did a lot of research. I used Google, Google Chrome, and Moodle. Finally, two articles were selected from Moodle and Google, which were Chalkley’s book and Dynarski’s article respectively. They were Communication, Digital and Everyday life, Laptops are great, but not during a lecture or a meeting.

In the process of searching, there were also problems, too many bad articles and too many disagreements. Too many arguments and arguments are made online. A lot of people are confused, some are even blind. So, I spent a lot of time choosing. Finally, my own opinion is that the use of digital media has more advantages than disadvantages. As I said in SoundCloud, students can better participate in learning in class.

When publishing on SoundCloud, I also came to the problem that the recording of my speech could not be uploaded, and the recording format was not right. The solution I solved was to install a recording software and record it again, which led to a lot of time wasted.
